What it does
Every email the product sends goes through one outbound path with one suppression list and one audit log. Postmark can be the service that path delivers through. Unlike a plain SMTP sender, Postmark reports back: deliveries, bounces, complaints, opens and clicks arrive as webhooks, are checked against your signing secret, and update your suppression list and email dashboard.
Setup steps
1. In Postmark, create a server, add and verify your sending domain, and copy the server API token.
2. In your email settings, add a sender, choose Postmark, and paste the token. A workspace admin can do this; it does not need us.
3. Open "Test webhook" on that sender. It shows the inbound, bounce and engagement webhook addresses for it — paste them into Postmark's webhook settings, along with the signing secret.
4. Send a test email from the same screen and check it arrives.
What you get
- Bounces and complaints handled. Hard bounces and spam complaints add the address to your suppression list, so no module emails it again.
- Delivery you can see. The email dashboard shows deliveries, bounces and complaints across every module.
- No double sends. Every send carries an idempotency key; a repeat within 24 hours returns the first send instead of sending again.
- Your domain. Mail goes out from your verified domain, not ours.
- Incoming mail. Mail sent to your Postmark inbound address can be received and appears in your inbound email log.
