What it does
Stripe is one of the payment gateways a workspace can connect to get paid. Once it is connected, the invoices you send carry a link to a page where the customer pays online, and the payment is recorded against the invoice it pays — no separate reconciling.
Stripe is one of several gateways the payments layer supports, alongside PayPal, Razorpay, Paddle, Adyen and regional providers, so a business selling in more than one market can route each payment to the right one.
Two ways to connect
1. Your own Stripe account. In your payment settings, choose Connect provider, pick Stripe, and paste your account's keys. A workspace admin can do this; it does not need us.
2. Stripe's hosted onboarding. If you would rather not handle keys, start onboarding from the same settings page. Stripe walks you through creating or linking an account on its own site, and the account is connected when you finish.
What you get
- Online payment from every invoice — a link the customer opens and pays from by card.
- Payments against the right invoice — the balance updates when the payment lands.
- Refunds issued from the product go back through Stripe.
- Webhooks checked — Stripe's payment events are verified against your signing secret before anything is recorded.
